Stripes and Chambray

Tuesday, April 07, 2015

If someone asked me what my style was, I would say I really don't have a single style.  Even though my blog name might make it seem like urban chic is my go-to look, I like everything from feminine and preppy to hipster, classic, and modern and everything else that is out there.  The reason for that is I am all about experimenting and trying new things.  I don't really like to stick to one thing or style so I love changing up my style quite often.

As you can see, today's look portrays exactly that.  I paired a super classic striped dress with my dad's chambray shirt, because I loved the oversized cardigan type of feel it gave to the look (here is another time I stole something from my dad's closet!).  Accessories were the fun part as I got to play around with some of the stuff I got from Istanbul a couple years ago when I visited.  I love buying traditional clothes or accessories as souvenirs instead of snow globes or key chains, because I can actually wear them instead of have them sit on my nightstand or dresser.  I hope that doesn't make me too materialistic haha!  Anyways, let me know what you think about this look, I always love reading your comments!
XOXO,
Dee

  10. Beautiful! I too like to think that I don't have one set particular style. Why should we limit ourselves to just one style, right? :) it's fun to play around and try different things. I always love the way you pair your outfits together!
